Delete your account
Applies to: Linkland (Android and iOS) · Operated by the Linkland team · Last updated 2 September 2026
You can ask us to delete your Linkland account and the personal data attached to it at any time, for any reason, at no cost. You do not need the game installed to make the request, and we will not ask you why.
1. Send a request
Prepare and review your request below, then open your email app or copy the message into it. Nothing is sent from this page or saved in browser storage. You send the email yourself to [email protected].
Protecting your account. Your nickname and player code are visible to other players, so they help us find an account but do not prove ownership. An email alone cannot authorise deletion. A secure ownership-verification process must be in place before deletion requests can be processed; never send your sign-in token or password.
2. What is deleted
| Data | Result |
|---|---|
| Your account and the device identifier it was made from | Deleted |
| Nickname, player code and profile | Deleted |
| Match history, scores, statistics, ranked rating | Deleted |
| Leaderboard entries | Removed |
| Friends, sent and received invitations | Deleted |
| Blocks you set | Deleted |
| The basic events our servers recorded about your games | Deleted, or stripped of anything that points back to you |
| Support correspondence, once the request is closed | Deleted after the retention period below |
Deletion is permanent. Progress, ranked standing and match history cannot be restored afterwards, and the same device can start again only as a brand-new account.
3. What is kept, and for how long
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Reports filed about your account, and the enforcement decisions on them | To protect the players who reported, and to keep enforcement decisions effective | Up to 12 months after the case is closed |
| A minimal record of accounts closed for serious abuse | To stop a permanently banned account being recreated | Up to 24 months |
| Server and security logs that mention the account | Security, fraud and incident investigation | Up to 90 days, then overwritten |
| The deletion request itself and our reply | To evidence that we handled the request, as data protection law expects | Up to 24 months |
| Plain totals that name nobody (for example “games played today”) | They identify nobody and cannot be traced back to you | Indefinitely |
| Records the law requires us to keep | Legal obligation | The period the law sets |
Backups are on their own cycle and are overwritten within 30 days of deletion; we do not restore deleted accounts from a backup.
4. Timeline
- Within 2 business days — we confirm the request and, if needed, ask you to verify ownership.
- Within 30 days of verification — the account and its data are deleted from the live service, and we email you to confirm it is done.
- Within 30 more days — backups containing it are overwritten in the ordinary cycle.
If we cannot complete a request — usually because we could not verify ownership — we tell you why and what would let us proceed.
5. Deleting only some of your data
You do not have to delete everything. The form has an option that clears your game history and statistics while keeping the account itself. Your nickname is not something you need us for — you can change it yourself in the game at any time.
6. Questions
Deletion requests, privacy questions and general support all reach us at [email protected]. Our registered developer details are published on the Linkland listing on the App Store and Google Play.
The Privacy Policy describes every category of data in full, and section 13 explains the other rights you can exercise, including getting a copy of your data before it goes.
